Art-titudes
Here are some things to note in order to survive in the Arts Canteen,
hope
you find them useful!
1. Dress Down!!
It’s almost always very humid due to the sheer amount of fumes coming from
the wonderful food that is being whipped up. The tiered layout of the canteen
doesn’t help either. It does not allow fumes to escape.
When approaching the canteen, take off your sweaters, coats whatever..
Gals, the best thing to wear is spaghetti strap dresses, coz these are
light and airy. Now… doesn’t this scenario explain why there are so many
Engineering guys hanging out at the Arts Canteen? I’m sure its not just
because of the
food.

2.
The Best Times
If you simply detest crowds and want to eat in peace without people
hovering around your table, go at these times....
In the mornings, before 10.30 a.m
In the afternoons, after 2.30 p.m., this used to work , but recently
Arts students have taken to eating at all times in the afternoons, so its pretty
crowded. Could this phenomenon be due to the fact that students are getting more
stressed with schoolwork?

3.
The Shortest Queues
If you hate queuing, and are only able to have lunch during the
infamous lunch time, you could try buying your lunch from the less popular
stores.
Another way of getting ahead of the queue is to
extend your circle of acquaintances in Arts faculty, so that you would be able
to ‘arrow’ someone ahead in the queue to help you order.
Guys, just in case you are wondering why this is the
time when your female friends suddenly get all friendly. Now you know why? .
